Yeah, you know the lyrics. “Sex, baby. Let’s talk about you and me.” While I’m hopeful I don’t have to explicitly outline this is an Adult Blog For Adult Eyes (and by extension my book is For Adults), there will be some sexual content discussed here. It’s a little inevitable when I chose to start my authoring career with something so sex-heavy (and sex-positive) as Indelibly. If that makes you uncomfortable, consider yourself warned.
As established in prior blog entries, this year marks my spouse’s and my 10th wedding anniversary. Due to eloping and choosing to have a “wedding” later in the year for friends and family, we technically have two anniversaries. The legal one and the one we celebrated with all our loved ones. So while we took a trip to NOLA to celebrate our elopement date, we’ve been planning a much bigger trip abroad to really celebrate the entire 10th Anniversary. And, being the people we are, we’re planning on going to Japan later this year.
We already got new passports after putting it off for, uh, ten years! And Mr. Eliza has decided he wants the bulk of the trip to be near Kyoto. I’m absolutely not opposed to this, though I think we’d be remiss if we didn’t spend at least 2 days in Tokyo. I’m going to have find tattoo-friendly onsen while we’re there, or ones that provide the patches to go over tattoos, especially because I plan on having at least two more before we go (wishful thinking, but I’m determined), bringing my count up to 9. And while we’re in Kyoto, it would be a dream come true to stay at Hotel The Mitsui Kyoto. It’s a hotel I discovered via online search and used for a location in one of my shorter pieces I wrote last year (is 30k words still considered short?), and it’s Michelin-keyed and absolutely gorgeous. So, naturally I mentioned that to Mr. Eliza and phew those prices do not play, but you know what? We can easily save up for a single night’s stay and enjoy the decadence (and each other).
It’s shaping up to be a pretty good year, if I do say so myself!
