I spent the Atlanta snow day indoors, trying not to overload on caffeine, and writing.

It’s so fun seeing the writing process for others. Because by “writing,” I mean I had seventeen tabs of random things open on my browser. Things like the Armenian Genocide wiki article, a few floriography tabs, weather dot com, a map of Torrance, CA, a few random searches to make sure I’m not infringing on copyrighted properties…….
And I also had discord open, wherein I was gushing about the new wax melts I got from Yankee Candle earlier this week and how MidSummer’s Night made me feel to a group of likeminded (creative) individuals.
My writing process isn’t streamlined. I don’t sit and write constantly for hours at a time. I write for 15-30 minutes at a time, get distracted by something for another 15-30 minutes, then go back to it. Rinse and repeat for however long I can do that for the day. There’s also note-taking, crowd-sourcing cultural information that I’m unfamiliar with, and finding a banger of a playlist on Spotify that factor heavily into my definition of “writing.”
